| Welcome to the home page of Ozark Blues Society's youth after school blues group. We kicked off our youth jams and workshops in late 2006, and have had a dedicated group of young guitar players who regularly come to our jams. Several of them represented us at our public performances in April and June. It is our hope to see our 2007-2008 school year group include more beginners and a greater variety of vocalists and instrumentalists. We desire to offer a unique opportunity for young people to have a chance to learn to play in a small ensemble. We welcome the partnership of parents and music teachers. We also continue to seek opportunities to offer our programs to established community youth programs. Blues Builders has a great vision to share the empowering nature of the historic American art form that is the blues with the next generation through fun jam sessions, neat creative learning experiences, and even the chance to perform in public! Why not join us and help "Keep the Blues Alive!" If you are a young person and you like popular music, you may be surprised and excited to learn that the blues probably had an influence on the music you listen to. Blues Builders may be a great place for you to start learning how to make some of the same great music yourself.
